2006

2006 saw SomerRock make its debut at the Bridgwater Sports and Social Club. The weather was very favorable, and the crowds turned up in droves from mid-afternoon until well into the night's proceedings.

The fabulous Dodgy Practice opened up with some great renditions of popular soul classics and had the crowd bobbing along to just the right music for a hot summers day.

Next up were Duke Johnson and the Scorchers, providing an absolute sensation and turning in a memorable performance. They really got everyone rocking with their comprehensive set of a wide ranging rock covers.

The evening culminated in the fantastic Pink Floyd tribute band 'Off the Wall' taking to the stage and giving a performance that would have pleased the original band itself, and in our opinion about as close as you're going to get to the real thing. If you listen carefully, you might still be able to hear the delayed solos ebbing off into the distance still!!

The feedback we have received from people who attended that day has been amazingly positive and all the things a good day should be - Great friendly atmosphere, good weather, and of course top quality music with a broad appeal.
